Kanye West Released ‘Late Registration’ On This Day in 2005

16 years ago today, Kanye West released his second studio album ‘Late Registration.’

In the first week of release, ‘Late Registration’ debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200, selling 860,000 copies in the first week.

The album was supported by five singles: “Diamonds from Sierra Leone”, “Gold Digger”, “Heard ‘Em Say”, “Touch the Sky”, and “Drive Slow.”

The album earned Kanye West the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and an Album of the Year nomination. Certified 3x RIAA Platinum.
